The construction project of 100,000 tons of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), 75,000 tons of caustic soda and 300,000 tons of methanol production complex in Uzbekistan, which was participated by our company, was officially put into operation on December 28, 2019.
The PVC complex project is one of the important cooperation achievements between China and Uzbekistan, an important project to promote international production capacity cooperation under the "Belt and Road" Initiative, the largest single project contracting project being implemented by Chinese enterprises in Uzbekistan, and the first PVC installation successfully landed in Uzbekistan.
The President of Uzbekistan, Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, came to the scene and as he pressed the start button, the project was officially put into operation successfully!
The project is jointly built by Shanghai World Corporation and China Industrial International as the main body. Our company is responsible for the design, supply and installation of by-product steam hydrogen chloride synthesis device, vinyl chloride purification device, hydrochloric acid desorption device, graphite heat exchanger and automatic instrument.
Since the project started in September 2016, our company has arranged professional technical engineers to carry out technical program demonstration, project program design, process package design, technical questions and answers, HAZOP analysis, FAT testing, on-site guidance installation, commissioning and driving, overcoming many difficulties and adverse factors, and efficiently completed the task. It lays a solid foundation for the continued introduction of planetary devices to the Uzbek market and the entire Central Asian market in the future.
According to the requirements of customers, the project is based on the concept of "ten years of no elimination, ten years of no backward", fully automated operation and energy saving and emission reduction. We carry out project design, equipment production, project management and Chinese service concept in strict accordance with international standards for comprehensive technical support.
For the hydrogen chloride synthesis device, the company's latest fifth-generation by-product steam two-in-one hydrogen chloride synthesis furnace is used, which is equipped with automatic ignition system to realize remote ignition, driving, fully automated operation, and no one at the site.
A single set of hydrogen chloride production capacity of 120MTPD, a total of three sets (two open one standby), to meet the annual output of 80,000 hydrogen chloride synthesis capacity. Operating at full capacity, the device can produce 35,000 tons of by-product steam per year, and according to the calculation of 150 yuan/ton of steam, the annual direct benefit is more than 5 million yuan, which can reduce the use of about 3,000 tons of coal and effectively reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

In the VCM system, we provide the user with a vinyl chloride purification combined absorption system, a hydrochloric acid desorption system and a supporting graphite heat exchanger to realize the recycling of mercury-containing waste acid.

Before the accurate commissioning and operation of the project, our company sent professional project engineers to the project site for many times to conduct project training, and introduced the equipment structure, driving precautions and emergency treatment during the operation in detail, thus effectively ensuring the smooth development of the project.
