Device background
In the domestic chlor-alkali industry, chlorine gas drying mostly used sulfuric acid process, this process requires the consumption of 98% concentrated sulfuric acid 12-16kg, by-product waste sulfuric acid is mainly sold to other demand units or environmental protection enterprises. However, under the current situation, the environmental protection cost of treating one ton of waste sulfuric acid is much higher than the cost of purchasing one ton of 98% concentrated sulfuric acid, so the waste sulfuric acid recycling is particularly necessary.
 
Process description
Using the dilute sulfuric acid produced by the chlorine drying and hydrogen chloride drying systems as raw materials, it was input to a sulfuric acid enrichment system developed, designed and delivered by our company. After evaporation and concentration, it was produced to ≥96%H₂SO₄. The concentrated sulfuric acid produced was returned to the chlorine drying system.

Economic effect
In the past, the dilute sulfuric acid produced by the owner's chlorine gas drying plant was outsourced as hazardous waste. According to the 8,000t/year of the dilute sulfuric acid produced by 75%, the outsourced treatment was calculated at 800 yuan /t, and the annual disposal cost could be saved by 6.4 million yuan.
